The Calzada de Calatrava International Film Festival in its 8th edition, organizes a solidarity act as usual; this time we want to show solidarity with CIMA (Association of Women Filmmakers and Audiovisuals). More than an act of solidarity, it is a recognition of the enormous work carried out by this Association, so that Women who are dedicated to the Film industry in any of its fields, occupy the place that truly corresponds to them, due to their capacities, aptitudes, knowledge and merits, as well as his immense contribution to the Culture of Cinema and the transformation of society through his artistic creations.
CIMA is not an exclusive association of women, the most important thing is to share its principles and strive to achieve its main objective, which is none other than to promote an equal presence of female filmmakers and professionals in the film sector, contributing to a balanced and realistic representation. of women within the content offered by this medium, and we share that goal.
