The adverse weather conditions of last Friday forced a change of scenery to continue with the visualization of feature and short films.
Calzada de Calatrava, August 14th. The feature and short films of the IX International Film Festival of Calzada de Calatrava will be screened from now on at the Rafael Serrano Cultural Center of the town. This has been decided by the organization after the adverse weather conditions that occurred last Friday and caused several setbacks in the Patio San Francisco, which was the place chosen to date for the projections.
This decision ensures the continuity of the festival, which reaches the halfway point of its celebration with a very high audience participation. Not only in each of the screenings, but also in the various parallel activities that are taking place, such as the gastronomic route ‘Al modo bar’ or film workshops. Nor did the concert of the Agrupación Musical Santa Cecilia de Calzada de Calatrava that hosted last night the Rafael Serrano Cultural Center. This musical show left no one indifferent and dazzled the audience with anthological soundtracks of unforgettable films.
It should be noted that there are still many emotions before concluding this ninth edition of the festival. Without going any further, this Monday starts an express film workshop that will last until Saturday and where participants will have the opportunity to delve into the film industry. The Councilman of Culture of Calzada de Calatrava and director of the IX International Film Festival of Calzada de Calatrava, José Antonio Valencia, recognizes that this edition “is being a resounding success because the residents of Calzada and visitors are filling the seats of each of the projections”. In addition, Valencia is satisfied because “all the people who come to the festival leave very happy and eager to return”.
