Can you imagine tasting a tapa inspired by a film? That’s exactly what awaits you at the 12th Film Tapas Competition! During the Film Festival, the town’s bars and restaurants are transformed into gastronomic sets, offering unique creations based on Spanish films.
The International Film Festival is a great opportunity to taste tapas inspired by Spanish films.
How does it work? It’s very simple:
- Pick up your Tapas Guide for free at any participating establishment or at the Festival’s headquarters (Rafael Serrano Cultural Centre).
- Make your own route There is no order, choose by name, by film or by the establishment that most appeals to you!
- Taste, enjoy and rate it. Each tapa costs just 2€ (plus drink). After tasting it, rate it in your guide from 0 to 5 for its taste, originality and relationship with the film.
- Taste, enjoy and rate it.
- And you could win! If you fill in and stamp all the guides, you can deposit them in the Festival’s ballot box to participate in a draw for a prize of 200€ in vouchers to spend in Calzada’s bars.
Some of the delicacies you will be able to try:

- “El Deseo” (inspired by La Ley del Deseo) at Canallas: a spiced salmon sandwich. Served Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 20:00h.

- “Tacones Rojos” (inspired by Tacones Lejanos) at El Patio del Casino: a slice of bread with asadillo manchego and lomo de orza glazed with honey and paprika. Available every day.
- “Entre Costillas y Lágrimas” (inspired by All About My Mother) at Restaurante Los Olivos: barbecued ribs with barbecue and straw potatoes.
