The animated short film “Gilbert”, directed by Alex Salu, Arturo Lacal and Jordi Jiménez, has won the Goya Award for Best Animated Short Film at the 40th Goya Awards and keeps its race towards the Oscars alive.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has already registered the short, which is available to Academy members: one more step on its path to securing a nomination for the Academy Awards. A milestone for an animated short that has won over audiences and critics alike.
It is a source of pride for us that “Gilbert” is part of our festival’s programme, where we will be able to see it in the Nacionales section on Tuesday 6 October at 8:00 pm, at the Rafael Serrano Cultural Centre.
