The cultural association Ntra. Sra. de los Remedios was founded in Calzada de Calatrava in the summer of 1980, promoted by D. Ángel Caballero Caballero, with D. Bernabé Casado Jiménez as its first dance director.
Throughout its history it has taken part in numerous national and international festivals, earning awards and distinctions. It is a member of FACYDE (Federation of Choirs and Dance Groups of Spain) and of the Castilla-La Mancha Federation of Folklore, and its repertoire combines Manchegan and other regions’ folklore with representations of everyday life —slaughtering, weddings, Mayos, Holy Week…— always with careful choreography.
In this special performance, before the screening, the group will offer a sample of its folklore. Free admission.
