Students of the Fundación Desarrollo Social Responsable complete their training as technical assistants in the construction and assembly of stage projects and acquire acting skills for arts performances and socio-community intervention.
Calzada de Calatrava, 16 August 2023. Fundación Desarrollo Social Responsable (Munus)X Calzada de Calatrava International Film Festivalas technical assistants in the construction and assembly of stage projects and in acting skills for arts performances and socio-community intervention. This training is a reality following the agreement carried out by the management of the Festival and Fundación Munus in order to facilitate the learning and integration of the students, which is facilitated by the support and advice at all times of the Technical Director of the X International Film Festival of Calzada de Calatrava, Hernán Valdés.
The students of Munus have already participated in a dance performance on August 9th in the Plaza de España as an animation and invitation prior to the opening of the Festival; in a show also of dance, music and song in the Patio de San Francisco, on Monday 14th; and they will perform again this Friday in the Plaza de España with a staging that will leave no one indifferent. It is a work of art which shows that the students have an incredible creative capacity and the public is delighted to be able to enjoy their talents on stage.
In fact, the young people have already helped in the successful development of the show ‘Globe Story’ During the Opening Ceremony on 10 August at the Rafael Serrano Cultural Centre. They did the same with the video dance performance ‘A little female was born’at the Patio San Francisco last Monday 14th, and they will be back this Friday 18th , prior to the show ‘La Petite Cabaret Bande’at the Plaza de España (11.45pm): and, finally, on Saturday 19th, during the Closing Ceremony and prize-giving ceremony, which will take place at the Rafael Serrano Cultural Centre from 9pm.

The director of the Calzada de Calatrava International Film Festivalthanks “the predisposition of all the students from the first minute” and praises that “they are doing an extraordinary job both in the technical support in the different shows before and after the different film sessions, and in the great staging they carry out during the performances”. Hence, the director is “very happy and satisfied” with the “commitment” of these young people, who can also “enjoy the festival with us and get to know our town, where culture is a fundamental pillar”.
